GENERAL INFORMATION
The clinical psychology practice of Dr. Tom Dorsel is devoted to both brief and long-term psychotherapy for individuals and families.

Simply call 843-618-4653, and the call will go directly to Dr. Dorsel or to his voice mail. If the voice mail is reached, please leave a message (name and phone number is enough) and the call will be returned personally by Dr. Dorsel as soon as possible.
FEES AND INSURANCE
Psychotherapy is provided at the
rate of $75 per hour. If psychological testing is necessary, fees vary
depending on the test.
Health insurance generally covers the services of licensed
clinical psychologists. As always, policies vary in the type and amount
of coverage they provide.
BACKGROUND AND CREDENTIALS
Thomas N. Dorsel, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist
and Professor Emeritus of Psychology at Francis Marion University. He
obtained his degrees in psychology from the Universities of Notre Dame,
Kentucky, and New Mexico, and received post-doctoral training in clinical
psychology at the University of California, Davis, Medical Center. During
his professional career, he has published 25 journal articles and presented 27
papers at state, regional and national conventions. Dr. Dorsel is a past
President of the South Carolina Psychological Association. He is married
and the father of five children.
